Carbocean CARBOOCEAN IP (= CarboOcean Integrated Project) aims at an accurate scientific assessment of the marine carbon sources and sinks within space and time. It focuses on the Atlantic and Southern Oceans and a time interval of -200 to +200 years from now
Carbochange The overall goal is to determine the ocean’s quantitative role for uptake of human-produced carbon dioxide, and to investigate how large this uptake rate has been in the past, how it is changing at present, and how it will evolve in the future.
Fluxnet FLUXNET, a "network of regional networks," coordinates regional and global analysis of observations from micrometeorological tower sites. The flux tower sites use eddy covariance methods to measure the exchanges of carbon dioxide (CO2), water vapor, and energy between terrestrial ecosystems and the atmosphere.
GCP The scientific goal of the project is to develop a complete picture of the global carbon cycle, including both its biophysical and human dimensions together with the interactions and feedbacks between them.
Geocarbon GEOCARBON is a European FP7 project with a global perspective, with the ultimate aim to lay the foundations for an operational Global Carbon Observing and Analysis System in support to both science and policy.
Geoland2 Geoland2 is carried out in the context of GMES, a initiative of the European Commission, which aims to build up a European capacity for Global Monitoring of Environment and Security. The ambition of the geoland consortium is to develop and demonstrate a range of reliable, affordable and cost efficient European geo-information services, supporting the implementation of European directives and their national implementation, as well as European and International policies
Macc II MACC-II - Monitoring Atmospheric Composition and Climate - Interim Implementation - is the current pre-operational GMES Atmosphere Service. MACC-II provides data records on atmospheric composition for recent years, data for monitoring present conditions and forecasts of the distribution of key constituents for a few days ahead.
MyOcean2 The main objective of the MyOcean2 project is to deliver and operate a rigorous, robust and sustainable Ocean Monitoring and Forecasting system of the GMES Marine Service (OMF/GMS) to users for all marine applications : maritime safety, marine resources, marine and coastal environment and climate, seasonal and weather forecasting.
North American Carbon project The central objective of the U.S. North American Carbon Program is to measure and understand the sources and sinks of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), and Carbon Monoxide (CO) in North America and in adjacent ocean regions.
Rainfor The Amazon Forest Inventory Network is an international collaboration to understand the dynamics of Amazon ecosystems.
